To the best of their ability with God's help, the Deacons and members of the at Galilee Church Council will strive to follow the guidelines in 1 Timothy 3. Council Members will fully support all scheduled events unless there are reasons beyond their control. They cooperate with the Pastor, other Deacons, members of the Church Council with the entire church body. They will cooperate and fully support the total Southern Baptist cause at home and around the world.
 
Deacons & our Church Council will, at all times regard themselves as servants of the church in accordance with the meaning of the work and practice of the New Testament. With the Pastor, as the Holy Spirit may direct, they will have oversight of the disciplines of the church and establishment and maintenance of spiritual, and fraternal, relations with all members of the church, and will assist the Pastor in observance of the Lord's Supper. It will be the duty of our Deacons and Council members to visit the sick and needy members of Galilee. They will be on the watch for strangers that may enter the house of worship and by constant inquiry will learn of new arrivals and report their names with all necessary particulars to the Pastor. The Council Chair and/or Pastor may call the Deacons into special session whenever need for a meeting arises.
